Most days I love being single, but these holidays can be hard alone, especially since it's the first Thanksgiving without my dad.

I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving. My dad used to always say, "In America, every day is a holiday, every meal is a feast, and every man's a king." We got together often to eat, and he would say that every time. America has its problems, but I'm so thankful for it, flaws and all.

One of my desires is to get married and have a family. When I was in high school and college, I thought that I would have been married by now. Another desire of mine is to have my business become my sole source of income.

Hi Laura, I loved your Dad's quote, so special. I'm sure your missing him this year that is hard, I know.
As far as the desires of my heart, i would say that all 4 of my daughters will walk faithfully with the Lord. I know they will make mistakes, but throughh it all I hope they cling to Christ. Thanks so much, Cheryl ihhcheryl(at)comcast(dot)net
