Hi Laura! I'm excited for the chance to win! Near and dear to my heart...hmmm. Today's teen girls who have no respect for themselves, and don't know to require it from a boyfriend or potential husband.

Near and Dear to my heart is the plight of women and girls who are trapped in sex trafficking.

There are a couple of things that are near and dear to my heart and they are the elderly and the issues they face daily, also animal abuse and the lack of spaying and neutering is something that really is near and dear to my heart.

My mother and her younger brother had to be raised in a Methodist orphanage because her mother simply had no means to support and the rest of the family could not. This was around 1925. Hard times indeed. Hard a a little girl and her little brother. They couldn't even see each other to talk except to stand with the road between them. No communication between boys and girls!

Hi Laura! Close to my heart would be my family. God has blessed me with such a sweet and loving group of siblings, and two wonderful parents who I respect and cherish deeply.
