Giveaway!

I loved everyone's answers about the differences between parts of the country! Congrats to Sharon for winning. Vera, I LOVED your answer and wish I had two copies to give away.

Today I'm giving away Take a Chance on Me, which is another great book! I was given this book as a part of the launch team, so I do ask that if you enter, you will let other people know about the book or pass it along when you finish.

To enter to win, leave a comment about a time you took a chance on something. I took a chance when I tried sushi for the first time. I hated it. I also took a chance on applying to a new district this past year, and I landed an amazing job that I thought I didn't have a chance for!

Be sure to leave your email address with your comment.

I'll pick a winner next week.
I can only ship to the US. (Those who have followed for a while know I'm on the Dave Ramsey plan and media mail to the US is the cheapest....and by the way, I'm two months away from paying off two more bills. YAY!)

Have a great week!

I took a chance last year when I stepped down from a position at work which was not a good fit for me. Stepping down worked out well for me.

I took a chance when I purchased a horse from a meat buyer. This horse went through the auction and I had someone bid on the horse to save his life. (He was to be sent to slaughter)
Turned out to be the best horse I ever owned.

I'm not a big "chance" taker but the one that came to mind was when I decided to participate in a mission trip to Mexico. It was my first time flying and my first time out of the country and I was a little worried, but it turned out to be one of the best weeks I've had.
Thank you so much for this giveaway! Susan May Warren is my absolute favorite author and I've been dying to read this book!

I took a chance when I applied for a new job straight out of school I didn't think I was ready for. I'm really enjoying it so far!

Don't enter me in the contest.

Yay for being close to paying off some more bills! Baby step 2. I'm still on that one too. My only debt left is still my student loan.

I took a chance when I opened my home and heart to a refugee family from Africa. They have now become precious family and a joy in my life!

I take a chance when I teach at our prayer group every few months. It is very hard to get up and speak in front of others. I get so many compliments and questions about my teaching. But it is still hard to step out of my comfort zone.I am shy and have anxiety when I am the center of attention.

I took a chance when I left my family & friends to serve in another state in full-time ministry & then adopted my kids when they were 13 and 7 - I have never regretted any of it because it was all God's plan :)
